TV loves a man (or a woman) in uniform.

by Ed Weiner

Here's our 21-gun salute to the greatest military shows ever.

Olive and khaki! Red, white and blue! Silver and gold! For more than 50 years, some uniformly memorable military dramas, sitcoms, miniseries and documentaries have marched into our living rooms and colored our perceptions of war and peace. Here;s a salute to the all-time best ad brightest, from Sergeant Bilko to Band of Brothers.

#14 Hogan's Heroes (CBS, 1965-71) Anyone back in '65 who thought a weekly sitcom about a happy-go-lucky band of POWS in a Nazi prison camp would be humorless and tasteless obviously knew nussing!
