Actress Kathleen Freeman Dies at 82
NEW YORK (AP) - Kathleen Freeman (Gertrude Linkmeyer - General
Burkhalter's sister) , a veteran character actress whose face if not her
name was known to audiences from television sitcoms, the film classic
``Singin' in the Rain'' and Broadway's ``The Full Monty,'' died Thursday
August 23, 2001 of lung cancer. She was 82....

August 1, 1997 - Associated Press - Berlin - The wisecracking Col. Robert
Hogan and his cohorts fellow POWs in Stalag 13 have been frustrating their
Nazi captors for three decades on American TV. But Germans weren't laughing
- until now. Hogan's Heroes has become a cult hit in the country as Germans
grow more willing to examine the Third Reich. The show about Allied prisoners
outwitting their captors at a German POW camp gives them a unique chance
even to laugh about it.

in 1993

singles magazine. John Carpenter is asking questions of Bob Crane, star
of the hit television show Hogan's Heroes.

5) Cynthia Lynn's new book
In December of 2000 - Cynthia Lynn (Fraulein Helga) published her autobiography
"Escape to Freedom: An Autobiography of Cynthia Lynn"
written by Edward Ansara.
I've just finished the book. It is quite a story one filled with action
from beginning to end.
This is a must read for Hogan's Heroes aficionados.
