Mini - Interview with Robert Clary who played Louis LeBeau on Hogan's Heroes.

HHFC - What have you been working on lately?

Robert Clary : Painting, making CDs once a year and having my autobiography published--it's
all on my web site RobertClary.com!

HHFC - I noticed that you are releasing your autobiography this month. What prompted you to write the book and how long had you been working on this?

RC - It took me 3 years to write it and 14 years to get it published--Thank God for my nephew, Brian Gari. He got it published for me. I wrote it so I could leave something to my grandchildren.

HHFC - Will there be any more books in the future?

RC - I would like to have a book of my paintings.

HHFC - Why did you re-release two of your albums - Meet Robert Clary and Hooray For Love?

RC - It's Brian Gari's fault!

HHFC - Any plans on releasing any more of your older albums (e.g. Robert Clary lives it up at the Playboy Club or the Soundtrack to Gigi)?

RC - Ask Brian Gari--I have no plans but he has!

HHFC - Are there other older albums besides these 4 and the Hogan's Heroes Sing The Best of W.W.II?

RC - New Faces of 1952 and Seventh Heaven.

HHFC - Any more Jazz CD's in the works? Out of all your recent CD's - I like the live atmosphere of the Jazz Bakery one the best - you were awfully funny on that one.

RC - If I have a voice left, I will do another jazz oriented CD.

HHFC - Have you ever done standup comedy?

RC - No I never did--I was an entertainer who did everything but never one thing and it got me nowhere!

HHFC - Would you care to share any thoughts about your friend the late Werner Klemperer?

RC - He was a good and reliable friend--I'm a man of few words.

HHFC - What direction(s) would you like to see the Hogan's Heroes Fan Club take?
What would you like to see on the Hogan's Heroes Fan Club website?

RC - Whatever you feel it should be!

HHFC - What would you like to be remembered for?

RC - As trying to be a nice human being.

Robert - Thanks very much for taking the time to share some thoughts with Robert Clary and Hogan's Heroes fans around the globe.

Best Wishes
