Hogan fears that if Klink receives a poor rating he'll be replaced with a more rigid kommandant. The men convince the general that Klink is a cold disciplinarian. The plan works, but too well: Klink is promoted to a post in Berlin! The heroes reverese von Platzen's opinion of Klink's efficiency, but again they go too far: Klink is arrested.
