The three prisoners are being held at Stalag 4 for questioning. In order to free them, Colonel Hogan persuades Schultz to masquerade as Klink, and demand that the prisoners be turned over to him. It isn't easy turning the softhearted Sergeant into a convincingly nasty Colonel, and Schultz almost gives up too easily. A Gestapo Captain comes looking for the man who took the prisoners, but the only one who fits the physical description is Schultz, and who could believe that Schultz is a fierce officer?
