Overview : Burkhalter plans to build a synthetic fuel plant at Stalag 13, where it will be safe from Allied bombing. The prisoners are to be transferred to other camps, bringing Hogan's operation to an end. To prevent this, Hogan convinces Klink that there is a vast supply of crude oil under Stalag 13. With visions of postwar riches, Klink tries to retain control of the camp. When this fails, Hogan stages a phony bombing raid on the camp. Leaflets are dropped warning that if the fuel plant is built there, it will be bombed. The plans are abandoned.
